When a child is born with the deformity, definitely it will shatter the dreams of the parents, relatives and neighbors.

Similarly one patient named Dharati Bhanubhai Thakore was born on 04th April 2002



with the same facial deformity called Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate who is residing at Gorel Gam Taluka Petlad having one brother and two sisters with normal appearance and living with thirteen (13) members in the small cottage.

Nobody in the family and relative was/is having the Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate deformity so the family members got shocked with the deformed face. They started worrying of ‘What to do with this deformity? Will she get the treatment or not? How much should we spend on the treatment? Will it cure completely?’ and many more questions…that were unanswered for the long time…….

When Dharati was 10 days old, she suffered from the cough, cold and admitted in the hospital at Anand and parents were having LACK OF MONEY.

There was the biggest question in front of the mother (Manjulaben Thakore): Who will raise the Child?

In between, The GCCRI organised a camp at Petlad with Indian Red Cross Society and the parents got the pamphlet from the reference of their relative. Now, we are going to meet each other for the innocent and forever SMILE and that is also at FREE OF COST.

We have operated Dharati totally FREE OF COST for her Cleft Lip & Palate and now, she can SMILE fantastically, she can play, and she can study with other children. But still it’s not time for feeling very happy because there are many such Cleft Lip & Cleft Palate patients who are not operated and WAITING FOR THE SMILE.

So, we kindly request you to HELP us in curing Cleft Lip & Cleft Palate Patients from the society.
